Transmission Party Time: TJ's Guide to Gorillaz Part 1 of ! Demon .

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett were seated around watching some pop start on TV. Damon said to Jamie that a cartoon band could do it in this day and age. So they started a cartoon band.

Blur had been Damon`s main gig for almost ten days and they only released their sixth album 13. Blur had been winding down and hadn`t been working as often.

Gorillaz: Rise of the Ogre reviewed

riseoftheogre Gorillaz: Rise of the Ogre reviewed

Oh Gorillaz, how I know you or at least I thinking I did. I do enjoy the inaugural album, but Demon Days fizzled out and Plastic Beach really only had one great song despite it being a solid album otherwise. But between Demon Days and Plastic Beach, there was an "autobiography" of them called Rise of the Ogre. But it simply can't be how Damon Alburn and Jamie Hewlitt created the ring out of boredom but they take to make their own massive backstory and character traits.

I have news for you, folks: Gorillaz is a project, not a band. I have been a fan since 1999, my firstfavouriteband and even up there.

Plastic Beach

Gorillaz is one of those bands you can`t look for a next album from. They`re not yet an alternative group of any genre-just alternative because they make on any case of medicine and do it well. I was beyond happy when I launch out they were coming out with another album and like Demon Days, I was queer what the title stood for. Gorillaz does a phenomenal job at storytelling and it`s amazing how they change from another genre to the future without ruining the concept.

Music Review: Gorillaz Plastic Beach

Music Review: Gorillaz - Plastic Beach

Gorillaz Plastic Beach 9

Damon Albarn could get done two things when his rule as the King of Indie Music ended with Blur dissolving amidst creative differences and Graham Coxon`s alcoholism. He could have matured and followed in the footsteps of great artists such as David Bowie, bringing out ingenious and well received albums for the following 20 days or so.

Gorillaz' Plastic Beach Album Cover By Track

Gorillaz Plastic Beach Album Cover By TrackIt features Mos Def, Snoop, Kano and more

Overall Gorillaz' new album Plastic Beach- which is released on March 8- is less blue than its predecessor Demon Days and is also less hip-hop focused.

Instead the disc features a place of synth disco sounds mixed with songs that could easily appear on any of Damon Albarn`s work with his early bands.
